Welcome to my Kitchen!
As often as possible you will find new recipes, that I have found on the internet, from others and some that are family favorites. Most are easy and use common ingredients found in most kitchens. Not all pictures are taken by me, but I do add my own pictures as soon as I can after I have made the recipe and remember to take the picture. Pull up a chair, help yourself to some coffee and make yourself at home. Please leave a comment, I appreciate feedback. Thank you.

Chocolate chip cookie bars
1/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Mix shortening, butter, sugars, egg and vanilla thoroughly. Mix flour, soda and salt; blend in thoroughly. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Spread dough evenly in 9 1/2 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Makes 24 (2 inch) bars.
**This is also a good way to use up the partial bags of chips. Which is what I did. :)
