Peanut Brickel Bars
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup chopped dry roasted peanuts **
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter, melted
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condenced milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 (10 oz.) package English toffee bits (with the chocolate or plain)
Combine oats, flour, peanuts, sugar, soda; stir in butter until crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture.
Press remaining mixture on bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 375º for 12 minutes.
Sweeten condenced milk and peanut butter until smooth. Spread over crust to 1/4 inch edge.
In another bowl, combine remaining crumbs and toffee bits. Sprinkle over top and pat down firmly.
**I used party peanuts that I had on hand. Also a few mini chips.
